Those of you waiting for a level cap increase in Borderlands the wait is finally over. The third DLC pack has a level cap increase to 61, new enemies, 44 new missions (story and side), new "monster" vehicle, new weapons and class mods and a huge world to explore. To be more specific, twice the size of Zombie Island. Is this the DLC Borderlands fans have been waiting for?
The story itself in the armory is a fairly short one and also pretty difficult if you play on 2nd playthrough. I recomend getting as much done as you can on your first playthrough just so you can level up a few times before starting your 2nd. While the story missions won't keep you very busy the side missions certainly will. You didn't buy this DLC for the story though you bought it because you want to go beyond level 50 and get some sweet, sweet loot.
Oh boy, does it have a ton of loot especially when you finish the final story mission. I'll let you find that out for yourself, but lets just say it isn't called "The Secret Armory" for nothing. As usual, the more friends you have the better your loot is going to be. My only big issue with the DLC is that you do a lot of back tracking. Yeah you get a vehicle, and trust me you'll need it, but you're going to do a lot of traveling. Only thing you use fast travel for is to go to the DLC. Why can't we fast travel within the DLC once you discover a new area? That would be extremely helpful. But that is just a minor complaint. If you were let down by the Underdome, like I was, then do yourself a favor and download this. It will remind you why you bought Borderlands.
